Oh my God, Biden is greatness.

I usually don’t write political stories…

No fuck it.

I do frequently talk about politics, albeit indirectly. Call it Current Affairs.

I didn’t really have an opinion on Biden (“I don’t usually comment on America’s politics…), until I did. He seemed old. Just being honest. And often I have doubts. For example, student loan forgiveness — I am struggling to discuss this topic with my son who’s not a fan of Democrats. I’m an economist by the way, by education.

Still, it’s overwhelming me, this realization — we are witnessing greatness.

Destroying Putin. It’s not a quick battle, but Biden is absolutely winning it.

Climate change is a very complex topic. It has to be — we are talking about the relationship between multiple “stakeholders”: us, the human species, countries, multi-billion dollar companies, our unabating drive to explore new frontiers, for money making and because of altruism too, and our planet. Of course, it’s not easy. At stake are hundreds of billions of dollars, what shines and rains upon us, what we leave for our children.

No solution will ever be perfect. But the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 is a genuine attempt to lead on the front of energy transition and sustainability.
