Yeah, quite a few places.

When I was a teenager, a foreign exchange student (Kansas and Oklahoma!)

When I was a graduate student (Massachusetts!)

In my adult years (California, Texas, Florida, Tennessee).

Actually, Tennessee was more like Mississippi. My wife worked in Memphis but we lived in Olive Branch, a city outside of Memphis, that’s in Mississippi.

By “lived” I mean living for at least a few months.

̶T̶e̶x̶a̶s̶ ̶s̶u̶c̶k̶e̶d̶ I have warm memories from every place. Actually, every place was a positive experience ̶T̶e̶x̶a̶s̶ ̶s̶u̶c̶k̶e̶d̶. Even Texas was ok, overall. Technically, it wasn’t Dallas where we lived. We lived in Coppell, outside of Dallas.

My year in Oklahoma was special. I’m forever grateful to my host family. I still keep in touch with them and they helped me a lot in my life.

Florida. Ah…. It’s a good place for my daughter’s tennis but … But… But…

Apparently, California’s Newsom and Florida’s DeSantis are having a bit of a feud.

Look, I was never a fan of California’s extended mask mandate.
