Two reasons why I’m back in California

I’ll spare the details of why my family is living elsewhere. There were unique reasons and circumstances; we didn’t leave California because we didn’t like it. We always loved it.

And we are back.

The outdoors, the weather, the nature. It’s trivial to mention these attractions, but they are essential to my well-being and living a fulfilling life. I love running. There will be a day when I will have to reduce my running so I will just hike more, or maybe bike. Nothing, nothing beats California’s weather when it comes to outdoor activities. Warm but rarely unbearably hot. I’m also fascinated by the versatility of California’s nature and landscapes: from the very tall trees of the Redwood and Sequoia national parks to the alien-looking deserts of Death Valley — it’s a world of its own that can never be fully explored. Do I sound spoiled, mentioning the weather and nature as an important factors for where to live? I don’t think so. I want to live a long and eventful life; I want to do many things. While I don’t fully control my health and my genes, I control many other elements of my physical and mental well-being. In California, I’m in my element, literally and figuratively.

Creativity. California is cinematic, versatile, entrepreneurial, and diverse. It makes me creative in all planes of my life, in business and actual creative endeavors. I’ve lost count of the interesting people I met in California. This is not to say that people elsewhere are not “interesting.” But there is something about…
