This is really good and comprehensive. As I improved I found great joy and benefit in doing threshold running. It's actually a little slower than I used to run (e.g. my intervals - I used to do them too fast). I go by feel and once you catch the threshold rhythm, it's unmistakeable. Run hard, get close to the point of feeling the pain but hold it there, don't reach it.
