My son who follows some of my Medium writing told me to write more catchy titles. So there you go — I hope this title sounds slightly boastful. If this story does well financially, I will pay you, Valentin, sixty-two cents from this story’s earnings. And you can join me for my long run on Sundays.

I’m excellent though, for my age. Look at my medal from a marathon in Southern California.

To make this story less boring let me post this picture of myself from a few years ago:

I’m overweight in this picture. Not extremely but there are many extra pounds. This picture was taken in the Rocky Mountains by the way. There is a hike at the end of which there is a glacier.

This is me four months ago after finishing my Orange County marathon in 2.49 minutes (6.25 min/mile pace). Thirty-five pounds lighter than in the picture above.

Enough of a prelude….
