Steve Kerr for President, Steph Curry — Vice President. America will be extraordinarily great.
Tonight, before the Warriors game Kerr gave an emotional press conference, commenting on yet another shooting in America.
How can anyone not empathize with Kerr’s anger and emotions? I love America, I wrote several stories expressing my appreciation for America, at least from an immigrant perspective. Mass shootings though — it’s sick, sickening shit and there is no end to it.
This story though is not just about Kerr’s speech.
After we came to the US in 2013, we spent five years in the Bay area. Criticize California all you want, but it’s a special place. We enjoyed our time in the Bay area, though we could never afford it in the long term.
Following the Golden State Warriors’ epic run in the middle of the last decade was one of the highlights of how we experienced California. Call us “bandwagon fans” — it’s ok.
