Speculating is not a pretty word but that’s what we are left with — guessing how this fucking mess will continue to unravel. No one truly knows so we speculate — from professional journalists to casual bloggers.

It’s a little amateurish to refer to Wikipedia but it does provide good coverage and I am not claiming to be writing something sophisticated.
Basically, Dugin is one of the spiritual, intellectual, and philosophical masterminds behind Putin’s war in Ukraine and more generally behind the vision of the special role of the Russian civilization in the world order.
That’s a bunch of elegant words I’ve just used. Another way to describe Dugin is ultranationalist or fascist. Watch this short extract:
