Something bothers me in this story. I think it's the very concept of announcing to someone that they are less respected because this and that. Well, fine. To each his own. When I see an announcement of this nature this public, I wonder if author is really happy and at peace with his/her achievements and insecurities (it's okay to have insecurities, we all do, but it's important, for own happiness and self awareness, to come to terms with them). It's none of my business to judge whether you're happy and at peace, but I wouldn't want to be in your shoes mentally. On a separate note, every person in this world could write something of this nature. I don't respect xyz and then validate (I'm an immigrant for example, and I have an accent - lots of people have a head start but I dont' respect them less if they've achieved less). But then again to each his own.
