I experience cognitive dissonance when writing a story like this. On the one hand, I’m all for innovation, and I don’t want to sound old school. What seems crazy today may well be tomorrow’s everyday reality.

On the other hand, when I sense bullshit, I call it out.

Consider metaverse. It truly changed the world because of Mark Zuckerberg’s vision. Today, I had breakfast wearing my metaverse VR set, and I enjoyed playing with mini sharks in my oatmeal.
