Oh, this post from LeBron James went straight to the heart.
I wasn’t going to write my second Medium story today but then I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and saw this:
I’m not sure what triggered LeBron to post this. I even looked up the Lakers to see if they were playing tonight.
No.
Maybe there was something else, something in the news, that would make it easier to understand the origin of LeBron’s message.
It doesn’t matter.
So cliche, yet so true.
When I think of my failures and struggles in life, it’s because I sabotaged my chances of success.
I was distracted.
I wasn’t focusing.
I wasn’t interested.
I wasn’t disciplined.
I was lazy.
I procrastinated.
I risked too much.
I was selfish.
I was naive.
I didn’t honor my word.
I made enemies. I’m unconfrontational by my nature but I did have enemies. Or let’s say I had to deal with someone who wasn’t supporting me. I once got involved in my father’s business and had a close relative who turned against me. It all led to a big mess. I don’t…
