My change-over right now is in the most overrated place in America

But maybe I have never truly experienced it.

But I don’t want to, save for maybe seeing the Killers perform live. I love them dearly. But I’d rather see their concert elsewhere.

I’m at this place’s airport right now, waiting for my flight to California. I just took a short walk and experienced something I hadn’t in a long time — smelled cigarette smoke, indoors. There is a lounge where smoking is permitted:

You can guess — it’s Las Vegas.

In fairness — as I mentioned — I have never truly experienced the place. Never went to its shows or concerts; never had a chance to have a bachelor party here.

But I did stay in Las Vegas a couple of times. My daughter played here in a tennis tournament. We stayed at one of those big hotels. I don’t remember which one exactly. This is the thing — Las Vegas’s landmarks are as recognizable as they are forgetful. What I do remember about the hotel is walking through the long stalls of slots machines and seeing lonely people of different ages trying to win money and maybe with it some…
