Michele, I don't usually get into debates on Medium but I wanted to reply. I understand your point but I think you're going a little to far with with attacking me. For one thing, English is not my first language (and to that end I'm taking note of what you're saying- thanks; i'll be more sensitive in the future). More importantly, this story is about pop culture. There is an entire fictional and rather exxagerated movie (i.e. Forrest Gump that we're discussing) about someone with disabilities so while I was a little rough using the word that I used I think it's ok to be a little loose with slang, occasional absurdities and even insutls when it comes to pop culture. You blame me for "hate". I had no hate whatsover in my lightminded story. Anyway, your point noted
