America, where do you start and end? In college rooms where some — not many but some — students are starting to build the next generation of ventures that will continue to transform the life journeys of millions on this planet and beyond, or is your heartbeat in this place like it’s been for decades?

This Walmart is right behind the hotel where I’m currently staying in Bedford, Indiana.

Is this the progress America’s leading (one of my sons sent me this picture the other day from a drive in Southern California)?

Or is the progress marginal, in the grand scheme of things, relative to this:

My oldest son is starting at the University of Indiana, so I get to add another experience to my ever-expanding record of exploring the US.
