Interesting topic. I don’t agree with everything. Some of the most successful people I know know how to pace things. They are absolutely goal oriented but they know when not to rush. In fact rushing can be outright detrimental in many situations (for example negotiations, deal making). I like drawing the running analogy. 80 percent of the time during training you go slow and easy, you build the base. 20 - fast. And of course in races you go super fast. Also I know people in my professional circle who are “hustlers” - always adding speed, always pressuring. Ultimately these are relatively less mature and successful people
