In what ways are you still immature?

I’m immature in many ways. In my forties, with four kids, one of whom is approaching college…
Admitting my mistakes and weaknesses doesn’t cancel them out, but probably better to be aware!
- I text when I drive, having broken multiple promises to my wife and mother
- I struggle immensely with keeping my space tidy. It takes just a few hours for any space where I am to become a pigpen. My car, my desk, my bed, kitchen.
- I’m late. Always. When my kids wait to be picked up they know I’ll be late. They’d call me and ask Where are you?. I say Five minutes. Once my son put on a timer on his phone. Five minutes was fifteen. It has nothing to do with being busy. I don’t leave until the last moment and at that last moment I end up looking for something like my wallet or my car keys, which brings me to another point…
- I misplace or lose things all the time.
- I’m impatient in many business and personal situations. Instead of giving people some reasonable runway to respond to me, I chase them unnecessarily. Similarly, I often reply in a rushed way, for example, to emails. Instead of taking my time and responding professionally, I’d write quick & dirty replies from my phone; “dirty” not as in sexually dirty, but quick….
- I have a road rage problem and it’s not only when I’m driving. If there is a slow person in my way, say at a grocery store, I get very irritated. And if there is someone walking on the inside lane of…
