I’m having a love affair with California. And it’s growing in strength by the day. It’s overwhelming me.
Every day it overwhelms me — this passion, this fire, this all-consuming affair.
I’ve seen and lived in a lot of places. We, as a family, have traveled a lot.
Moscow, London, Boston. Oklahoma, California, Texas, and Florida.
We even lived in Memphis!
Right now I’m commuting — kind of — between Southern California and Florida. There is a reason for this complicated arrangement but I don’t want to talk about it in this story.
Each place was a universe of its own. Different decades, different circumstances.
But there is one place to which I’m eternally attached.
I could never another woman.
Well, I could never love another place. The feeling is exactly the same.
California.
Every day I love you. And when I’m not with you, I miss you. When we reunite, I feel the most profound love. When I land, when I step out of the airport, you’re home.
