I think people tend to overinterpret and overdramatize this whole bear vs. man in the woods. It's not that shocking. Sexual violence has (probably) been present through out most of human history. In fact, the violence of humans against fellow humans also defined much of human history. I'm not normalizing violence but it's the reality of human existence. Does it mean that all men are predators? Does it mean that bears are less dangerous? Well, you are free to form that view, draw generalization and live in that paradigm, where men are evil. I personally just think this viral hypothetical set-up is pretty shallow. It's reflective of our fears and certain traits of human civilization but I'm not sure this kind of polarizing and dramatic mental exercises help address these traits in a constructive manner
