I rarely comment on these things… I think real mutual attraction is a fundamentally very improbable thing. Almost like a lottery. You can’t rationalize attraction. So it takes time and effort to find someone, that’s it. It takes luck. With age it takes more time and effort because people carry history and have a certain way of living they’re too used to, emotional and physical commitment is a burden even when you’re open to it . Possible of course but difficult. It’s a little like with mid career problems ; if you haven’t achieved success, you will struggle in the job market; you can be both overqualified and under qualified. So I wouldn’t overthink. Yes it’s difficult but not impossible
