3 slides I used to raise $120k for my start-up

This was some years ago. The start-up is no longer around — it failed. Not only had I lost the investors’ $120K from that initial raise, but another million bucks that I went on to raise subsequently.

Why the business failed, I will write separately (maybe!).

The initial working name (Fuzeclass) for the start-up was different from the one we actually adopted so I’ll keep the original one — you can see from the screenshots of the slides.

I cringe looking at these slides. For various reasons.

  • First, I’m looking at something dead. It was kind of dead — unborn — before it became alive before I raised that $120K, but it’s now dead as in really dead. It was born, it was alive but it died. Not that I dwell too much over it, but there are some feelings. Five years of my life were dedicated to this and now it’s dead. And my investors’ money is lost.
