365 days ago I completely quit my normal life to focus on social media. Here is what happened

  • I taught people to respect my privacy. When I scroll through my social media accounts, I won’t be distracted. The focus is pristine. My kids no longer ask me to play ’cause they know daddy’s busy. They’ve learned not to interrupt and be respectful of other people’s private virtual space. I’m proud of how through my focus on social media I’m raising them to be humble and respectful human beings.
  • I stopped traveling and therefore reduced my carbon footprint.
  • I no longer interact with anyone but on rare occasions when I do I truly understand people and their lives. My talk is no longer “small”. I know exactly where they spent their vacation, what restaurant they went too and how their kid won last weekend’s sporting event. It’s about them, not about me. Thanks, social media.
  • I no longer accept easy sex. When my wife flirts with me, I turn away and scroll. By studying the girls on TikTok, I’ve been able to experience a sexual awakening and explore my body.
  • By following different politicians’ tweeter accounts, I’ve become a lot smarter about domestic and global affairs.
  • By following Mark Zuckerberg, I understood how much he cares about the world. Facebook is truly about connecting people, building communities, and, most importantly, protecting privacy. Thank you, Mark. You’re a saint.
