I have these (unpopular) opinions. Part 1. Will you mute or unfollow me?

Some of these are not strong opinions. Call them doubts. Or maybe I am confused, maybe I’m soul searching — what’s wrong with that?
In no particular order.
- The idea for this story came after reading the various stories covering Novak Djokovic’s Australian Open victory. A year ago, the Australian authorities deported him, and now he’s victorious. I’m not here to analyze the legal nuances of the deportation ordeal. However, I passionately respect Novak’s firm stance on choosing what’s right for his health. I am not anti-vax (I did have the initial shot) but, in hindsight, it was “medical tyranny”. I saw someone use this expression discussing Novak’s journey and I agree with it. Prominent politicians had multiple boosters and got infected and reinfected multiple times, regardless. I understand that the vaccine can reduce the severity of the virus. However, given everything that I know at this point, I want to make my own choice about getting vaccinated against COVID. The choice is simple — I’m never having another booster. I’d rather trust my body than the authorities, at least while I’m young and hopefully healthy, to fight the virus and develop antibodies.
- Related to the above, I rage at the hypocrisy of the so-called “guidelines”. There are mandatory pro-longed vaccine and mask mandates and yet nothing is being done about the obesity pandemic. No, I’m not making judgments about people struggling with weight. But every time I walk through…
