I cannot describe the shame and pain about what Russia is doing. And the anger. I continue to think though that you’re overestimating Putins decades long planning. He’s been lucky with oil prices (though that too he fucked up - could make Russia a prosperous country). Russia is economically weak. The coffins will start arriving (and that’s a tragedy too), the hospitals are as bad as they’ve always been; the nation will become more impoverished. Incredible damage will be done, war crimes committed (already of course) but there is hipe that this is the beginning of putins end. Admiring Putin’s “planning” creates this unnecessary aura about his powers. He will perish
