Fucking die already, Putin. And you will.

I have a few principles. One of them is to never wish death upon someone, not even upon this planet’s worst criminals. Every baby is born into the world with a chance to live a beautiful life. Whenever we rejoice at someone’s death, I feel it’s a scar for the entire human race. A life gone wrong. What’s there to be happy about?

But let me make an exception to my principles.

I wish Putin fucking dies. Not sure what exactly it would mean for my Mom’s dream. Hopefully, she’ll be fine with this outcome.

Too much pain, misery, destruction, death. All driven by a single dillusional angry individual, motivated by dark imperialistic dreams and insecurities.

I’ve written quite a few stories about Russia and Putin. How could I not? I’m Russian. I immigrated almost a decade ago, but I know the country well. I experienced it in different decades. My childhood was in the Soviet Union. I received my education in the “West” but in my younger years longed to be back in Russia. I loved Moscow, my home city. I wanted to help Russia become a prosperous country.

“Helping” Russia hasn’t worked out for various reasons. I immigrated to the US almost a decade ago and never looked back.

In recent years I’ve become more silent in my commentary of Russia’s affairs because I felt I’d lost the moral right to criticize the place where I no longer live.
