I started writing on Medium a few weeks ago. Here’s what I learned.

  • You have to use Medium on a computer or smartphone.
  • Medium has 6 letters. If you read it backwards, it’s also 6 letters.
  • If you read it backwards, it’s Muidem. Mysterious.
  • Medium starts with a letter M and finishes with it.
  • Medium doesn’t work when there is no cellular or wifi signal.
  • When the app starts there is a logo — three white circles against the black background. If you manage to tap the same circle 10 times, while the app is loading, you get more followers; even more, if you tap with the middle finger.
  • It helps to say a little prayer before every use of Medium
  • Wearing a medium size T-shirt when using Medium helps focus
  • Claps don’t work. I liked some stories and clapped but the badge count didn’t change. I tried clapping with my palms crossed and pointing them vertically. Nothing. I called my wife and Medium’s recognition was oblivious to her claps too.
  • For someone to read your story, you have to write that story.
  • The notification badge is a green dot.
  • Donald Trump is not yet on the platform. Someone invite…
