We don’t, do we? It’s almost like there is something instinctive or evolutionary in rejoicing at the downfall of the powerful.

Kevin Spacey broke down in his interview with Piers Morgan, talking about the foreclosure of his home and how he has no money to pay his bills. He owns millions in legal fees.

I opened the comments section of one of the social media posts reporting on this interview and the comments were overwhelmingly negative: And the Oscars goes to… Life in prison could be cheaper…

Now, I don’t have a strong opinion on Kevin Spacey’s specific situation. Both in the US and the UK, he was acquitted of multiple sexual assault charges. That said, he admits to having been “too handsy” (touching people sexually) and “pushing the boundaries.” He also admitted to flying with Jeffrey Epstein, Bill Clinton, and “young girls” on the “Lolita Express” (Epstein’s private jet).

It sounds shady, but then, as I said, he was found not guilty of sexual assault charges. I’m not inclined to go down the rabbit hole of questioning the justice system and how it protects the powerful of this world. Let’s assume the…
