DeSantis news. Why do I have any association with Florida?

I know why. It’s an exotic reason but we moved because it’s a good place for tennis. My kids play competitive tennis. We’re a tennis family. There is a reason why we are a tennis family but that’s a different story.

Since we came to America we lived mostly in California, both Northern and Southern. I still spend a lot of time in California where our son is finishing high school.

I have many problems with Florida. A terrible place if you like outdoor activities. Bad for my running! That’s ok though — there are worse problems in life.

The politics though… I try to stay away from America’s politics, for the most part. We have green cards but can’t yet vote. It was a very long and difficult journey to get our green cards.

To live is to suffer. And then we got our green cards.

So on DeSantis transporting the migrants (most Venezuelan as I understand, not that it matters) to Massachusetts and making a proud political statement— it’s just awful. I saw one of the Medium writers use the word “sadistic”. Sounds about right. The exact adjectives don’t matter. It’s awful.
