Bill Gates’s new girlfriend.
Apparently, Bill Gates has a girlfriend:
I never had much interest in business magnates. I follow the news, but I don’t get intrigued or fascinated by billionaires. None would make it (not that they care!) to my hypothetical “who I’d like to have dinner with” list, which would be comprised of artists (actors and musicians) and athletes.
What I noticed about myself, however, is that I do pay attention to the news of divorces, girlfriends, and re-marriages. Not in the way of starring at tabloid magazines by cash registers, but because I’m interested in relationships and the life and love journeys of couples. When you have a “power couple” break up, I get especially curious. What exactly happened? Did the love fade? Did they stay together in their marriage for many years without being close? Did something else happen? An affair? How did having the privilege of extraordinary wealth influence the relationship over the years? Did the male partner want to have more “fun”? Or was the breakdown initiated by the female partner for whatever reason? Was there a lot of emotional pain? Or was it all mechanical and dry because they had drifted apart long ago?
I sometimes make judgments.
