Last night I had a lazy evening. In a couple of days, I’ll reunite with most of my family but for now, I’m with my oldest son in California. He’s seventeen. He’s in his room listening to music. I’m in the other room. Listening to music.

I’ve lost my AirPods. So I listen to music on my Macbook. I open YouTube and usually start with this amazing live performance of Sultans of Swings:

I’m not sure when this live performance took place, but the song was written in 1978 — two years before I was born. I do remember my Dad playing Dire Straits in the 1980s!

I’m a diehard fan of U2. When this was performed on LiveAid I was a little child growing up in Soviet Moscow. I didn’t know about this amazing performance then.

I then enjoyed the songs from the nineties or later.
