Actually, I have no interest in watching Musk-Zuckerberg fight.
I very rarely criticize billionaires. I rant about some of their specific endeavors (Metaverse, die already!), or I may sometimes find their demeanors unappealing, but I greatly respect their overall achievements. I believe they achieved their fortunes through intelligence, hard work, and often sacrifice; maybe there was some luck involved, but I would never disrespect or discredit them.
I also like sports and entertainment.
My initial reaction to Musk challenging Zuckerberg for a cage fight was, “Wow, cool.”
I then saw Dana White’s comments about the fight being the best one ever in the history of the world. There were mentions of raising money for charity. For a brief moment, I bought into that sentiment — this fight, this entertainment will be for the ages.
Then something changed. Actually, nothing changed. No new details came out. The mention of the fight continued to appear here and there. Zuckerberg apparently accepted Musk’s challenge. Musk was seen training.
The interest just faded. It’s like starting to watch some superhero or fantasy movie and realizing, “damn, this is so crap, I can’t believe I’m watching it”. No plot, and poor…
