A new habit to tidy up (literally) my life

I think being tidy or messy is part of one’s DNA. I have 4 kids. They’ve been growing up in the same environment. Some keep their spaces tidy, other live in a perpetual mess.

I think I’m in the middle, though my wife would disagree. “When you see something like this, does it not bother you? Do you not see it? Do you just decide to pass by?”, she’d ask me sometimes referring to a piece of trash, clothing item, or something left in the kitchen.

Hmm… I don’t know what the answer is. Maybe I don’t notice, maybe it doesn’t bother me…
